Welcome to Kamp Krystal Killjoy

You know the story.

1957 - Jason Vorhees drowns at Camp Crystal Lake in Cunningham County New Jersey.

1958 - Two Camp Crystal Lake counselors - Barry Jackson and Claudette Hayes - are brutally murdered by an unknown assailant.

The murders went unsolved, the camp was closed, and - despite multiple attempts to reopen in the 1960's - remained shuttered for over 20 years.

1979 - the camp is finally "successfully" reopened, with counselors arriving to renovate the grounds and prepare for campers. Tragically, each, save one "final girl" are murdered.

Yes. You know the story. But do you?

What if the real truth was scarier than the story they told?

Kamp Krystal Killjoy is a feminist (re)imagining of the classic slasher film Friday the 13th. What if Pamela Voorhees wasn't a psychotic serial killer? What if Jason Voorhees didn't drown, and instead became an even more evil monster - an agent of patriarchy?

Kamp Krystal Killjoy unearths the truth about Camp Crystal Lake, and the architects who pull the levers of power in society today. It offers an entry point for teaching Killjoy Feminism - our only hope to dismantle the monstrous patriarchy and transform the world.
